Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to join a growing and leading investment organisation based in the outskirts of Cheltenham within the Cotswold District. This exciting hands-on accounting opportunity is offering a progressive position where you will manage/control accounting functions for a range of clients to deliver financial accounts, management information and reporting deadlines whilst improving/implementing new processes and supporting business growth.
Your new role
Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer and supporting accounts employees within the team your key duties will include full financial accounting controls of specific businesses, preparation of quarterly management accounts, reconciliations against budgets and forecasts along with ledger maintenance and preparing annual accounts. You will assist in corporation tax assessments, submission and approval of VAT returns, control over invoicing/debtors and management of banking. You will also assist in finance process improvement and ad-hoc accounting projects to support business growth.
What you'll need to succeed
For this exciting Finance Manager position you must have experience within a similar accounting role, with the ability to asses new situations, analyse data/numerical findings and understand tax processes that can impact various clients. It is essential you have strong communication skills to build external/internal relationships, key MS Excel skills and are used to working toward time-constraint deadlines. This position is open to finance candidates studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA or finance professionals who are qualified by experience. It would be advantageous if you have worked within the Investment Sector previously and have experience with Exchequer and Sage systems.
