QBE or part-qualified Finance Manager opportunity to join a North London organsation in the Third Sector which offers a wide range of activities and events for young people such as, art, theatre, training and education. A major part of the business, is hiring out rooms and space and there is a café.
It is a busy and exciting sole-charge role looking after 3 branches requiring a well organised person with good bookkeeping skills up to TB. It may suit a qualified by experience or part-qualified accountant or bookkeeper seeking to develop their accounting skills and progress to their first head finance manager role.
As finance manager you will report to the CEO with whom you will work closely.
The key objectives of this role are maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial records, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and billing, credit control and collections, salary preparation, company credit cards, credit card receipts, and bank and other reconciliations up to trail balance.
Other duties, will include preparation of quarterly VAT returns, budgeting and cashflow forecasting, preparing for the annual audit, and accounts to trial balance. The system used is Sage L50.
There will be a full hand-over and all the processes and procedures have been documented.
To be considered for this finance manager role, you will be a self-starter who relishes a challenge and possess the following qualifications skills and experience:
- Part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Accounting experience at least up to trial balance
- Payroll experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Good management and communication skills
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Sage L50 would be an advantage
