Job summary:

Working closely with the Finance Director and Product Management, this role manages the royalty reporting, invoicing and cash collection processes and works to improve the financial elements of the product and their smooth integration with the financial accounting systems. This role will best understand the financial impact of the operational processes and work closely with Operations to drive continuous improvement in this area.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Managing the core financial processes that flow through the business platform, including the monthly invoicing process.
  • Managing queries and enquiries, working with Commercial and Product Management to enhance the business portal and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Prepare status reports to FD/CEO on collections and highlight any risks to the business/cashflow
  • Lead on product finance investigations required when there are major discrepancies with the reconciliation.
  • Working with the Finance Director, ensure the smooth integrating of data between the business platform and the financial accounting system including the upload of invoices
  • Financial Accounting duties:
  • Input of supplier invoices to Sage
  • Payroll posting
  • Accruals
  • Fixed assets and depreciation
  • Posting of bank payments / bank reconciliation
  • Monthly VAT return
  • Involvement in MA preparation by taking the accounts to TB stage for review with the FD
  • Manage the process to upload expense data to Sage
  • Perform ad-hoc operational finance duties as requested by management
  • Manage the company’s existing credit insurance policy. This involves obtaining credit checks on new partners being signed up by the commercial team and updating the credit status and limits on the business platform.
  • Managing payroll (overseeing Prime payroll contractor)
  • Liaising with Barclays on banking queries, packages etc
  • Support the business in identifying enhancements to the financial processes and looking for continual improvements

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Experience in financial and business management/administration
  • Ability to build good relationships with internal/external customers
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent organisation and follow up skills, ability to prioritise
  • Previous analysis experience/preparing reports
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Working knowledge of Sage or similar accounting system
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel


  • Recognised accounting qualification

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00 /year dependant on experience
