Finance Manager 6 Month FTC - Immediate Start

A well-established Charity on the outskirts of Blackpool are looking to appoint a Finance Manager due to an internal promotion. The initial requirement will be on a 6 month fixed term contract basis, however there is genuine potential of permanency for the successful candidate. It is an exciting time to join the organisation, they have successfully completed a recent merger and now have a new CEO on board to help drive their future success.
Your role in your new job
This is a people facing and hands on finance role. This position involves working cross-functionally, liaising with various finance and non-finance stakeholders, both internally and externally. You will be managing a small finance team, overseeing the payroll, purchase ledger and sales ledger activity. You will be required to produce management accounts and annual financial accounts; prepare and deliver meaningful financial information to support the business planning process; prepare draft revenue and capital budgets; contribute to the development of existing systems and processes.
Your experience and our requirements
Whilst experience within the NFP/Charity sector is not essential, a general interest in the values and ethics of a charitable organisation is key as their vision will be embedded into the role. Staff management experience is advantageous as well as the ability to deliver finance information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.

Whilst this requirement is for a minimum of 6 months initially, the organisation will be looking to recruit this role on a permanent basis so consideration will be given to applicants.
