We are seeking a Finance Director to look at WRAP through a commercial lens and work with others to lift performance around a range of objectives including operational efficiency and income generation.
Reporting to and working closely with the CEO, the Finance Director will take responsibility for the financial management of WRAP, monitoring business performance and ensuring governance and systems of control exist throughout the whole organisation. Supporting, managing and leading the finance team, you will ensure that sound cash management and budgeting is in place and that the highest levels of financial best practice are maintained. As a key member of the Executive team you will lead your senior team to deliver critical business services; procurement, grant funds, IT infrastructure and asset management. Fostering and developing high level strategic relationships with funders and suppliers is an integral part of the role, and the Finance Director will also act as Company Secretary.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with evidence of having lead high performing teams and of successfully implementing change. You will be a credible business leader who has a track record in creating and delivering strategy and be able to inspire confidence at board level and with senior stakeholders. You will have evidence of your ability to influence and negotiate commercially leading to impact on revenue/cost reduction. Any previous experience of working with UK government in areas that could maximise benefit to WRAP would be beneficial.
