Oakhill Recruitment are currently recruiting a Finance Director for a business in Newmarket. This is an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional finance professional with a proven track record of developing and delivering effective strategic financials to meet business aims.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working alongside the existing executive team this role will head up the finance and IT teams and play a key role in the direction of the business.
Key responsibilities will include; overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy, analysis of figures and implement recommendations based on these findings, managing and developing a team responsible for month end, year-end and annual budgeting. Provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting strategy, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers. Ensure that company financial systems are robust and compliant, present annual accounts to the Board.
This deal candidate will be a qualified accountant with excellent technical skills and experience and able to get hands-on with company finances but will also be commercially aware, advising on the best path of growth for the business.
Exceptional communication skills are key to the success of this role as it requires someone who is commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and an influential leader at all levels and disciplines across the business.
