The Company

An outstanding privately owned manufacturing business (T/O £100m +) with some exciting growth plans for the future. Having completed numerous acquisitions nationwide they are now looking at both organic growth and further acquisition targets this year. The business is run by an inspiring and entrepreneurial CEO and is now looking to take the next step in the evolution of the Group.

The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity to take on the number one finance role within the business and work as a true "right hand person" to the CEO. There is a generous package on offer including share options for the right individual. A real chance to get involved in all aspects of the business from a finance, commercial and operational perspective.

The Job

You will have full responsibility for the Group finances of the business. This will include managing staff based over multiple sites across the Midlands. Key duties will include -

  • Day to day management of transactional finance team.
  • Process improvement and change management.
  • Working to up skill and utilise the current ERP finance systems.
  • Budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee management accounts.
  • Cash management.
  • Cost accounting.
  • Contract negotiation.

About You

You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA) with a background in the manufacturing (or related) industry sector. It is important you can get to grips with the granular detail and have an hands-on approach to running a high performance finance function. You will be responsible for a large team of finance staff and thus have a true leadership mentality with the ability to motivate and develop team members. It is also important that you are IT Systems savvy and can look at current processes and improve them.

Any exposure to IPO process on AIM will also be seen as a distinct advantage for the future plans of the business.
