This is an opportunity to join an exciting, high growth business. Due to our on-going expansion, we now have a vacancy for a full-time Finance Co-ordinator to join our busy office. This role will report directly to the Finance & Administration Manager. The key purpose of the role is to carry out the purchase ledger function for the business. The requirements of the job will be many and varied, commensurate with the needs of a dynamic, high growth business. Working within the Finance Team, responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Purchase ledger including expense claims
  • Bank reconciliation and nominal ledger transactions
  • Preparing weekly BACs payment run
  • Monthly processes including deferred income, depreciation, etc.
  • Preparing credit card and petty cash returns
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reconciling supplier accounts
  • Monitoring emails to the team and processing all that relate to purchase ledger
  • Dealing with ad-hoc queries
  • Assisting with the supplier approval process
  • Contributing to year end
  • Contribution to new processes and working methods in line with the growth of the company

Person Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience in an accounting environment and experience in purchase ledger. The candidate should also possess an appropriate accounting qualification. In addition, they will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Be highly numerate and a proficient user of Excel and Word
  • First class organisational skills
  • Ability to foster good working relationships with staff and external suppliers
  • Able to embrace change and company growth
  • Show attention to detail and be thorough
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
  • All round IT skills would be advantageous

This is a full time permanent position. Employment will be subject to a satisfactory outcome of a check by the DBS.
