We are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to be based at our clients site in Filton
The jobholder has responsibility for supporting delivery of Business Control of Operational Expenditure for the Facility Management,
The jobholder is functionally and operationally linked to the Head of UK Controlling for Facilities Management, Real Estate in the Region UK as part of the Integrated Support Functions to the Operational Business
The role is operational facing, and this is reflected in the competences required:
The jobholder should have significant operational controlling experience and strong analytical and communication skills.
A working knowledge of controlling and cost accounting processes.
The ability to develop strong working relationships with operational teams across 5 Sites
In the frame of Business Control, the job holder should:
Support the tools and processes in order to put in place an efficient financial monitoring and challenging of the Facility Management & Real Estate (FMRE) in the UK and working with the Network of Controllers in other Divisions
Carry out all cost accounting requirements on a monthly basis
Perform reporting & analysis of monthly performance and guarantee the consistency of the figures towards all stakeholders.
Guarantee, for these activities, the consistency and completion of the financial targets from the target letters and cascade those through the organisation.
Support the Planning Process within the Region through the elaboration and the explanation of the Planning assumptions, assessing the key business changes due to company operations evolutions, challenging the figures consistency versus the sizing rationale, for OPEX.
Support financial performance reviews with operational teams
Support the delivery of all the financial studies requested by the Head of FM&RE and their first reports
Propose & control the implementation of saving initiatives to contribute to savings targets within the entity.
Calculate the FM & Security charge back within the entity as per guidance for Planning, budget & actual.
Contribute to performance assessment through KPI's and benchmark across sites within the UK and years for key FM and RE.
Carry out the financial risks and opportunities analysis versus the annual target for Opex
Embed a financial culture within the operational Organisation and bring the financial support & training to all the operational teams in order to understand the costs contents they are responsible for.
Ensure the compliance of financial transactions and compliance to Internal Financial Control Standards (IFCS) of FMRE activities
Provide all the financial information and decision-making support to the Head of FM & RE in line with the FCM guidance.
Provide financial consistent data (targets baseline and savings for planning with company assumptions) within the frame of AOP, budget, monthly Risks & Opportunities analysis. These activities are challenged in order to match the Target sizing objectives, Gemini targets within FHM guidance.
Cascade annual targets & budgets throughout the GWLU & GXSU organisation.
Secure monthly R&O assessment and FY forecast based on actual & assignment analysis together with operational managers
Apply the company Charge back policy to the scope at budget and actual level.
Provide Real Estate & FM & Security benchmarks, contribute to performance assessment.
Control and validation of the purchase orders issued by the operational team, (buy side ....) Candidates must have previous financial operational control experience. along with strong analytical skills. Candidates should also have cost accounting experience.
