Finance Business Partner

The Finance Business Partner will work closely with my client's sales team to provide analytical insight, commercial guidance and challenge strategic decision making relating to both the sales & purchasing arenas.

Main Responsibilities

  • Business partner with our sales team, building business relationships
  • Redesign and build new weekly KPI trackers and provide weekly business performance reporting to the my client's UK board and my client's Group CEO & CFO
  • Identify key stake holder reporting requirements and scope a suite of reporting that will enable benchmarking, sale and margin insight to improve customer profitability
  • Scope and create monthly sales, volume, mix reports and provide impactful analysis on sales and margins including LFL trading and provide insights on market trends
  • Define and create standard KPIs with respect to business plans (e.g. Net Sales, Volume, Margin, Range Size
  • Month end reporting pack, preparation of the key month end reports and relevant insightful commentary
  • Prepare annual Sales and Margin budgets including detailed analysis of budgets throughout the process
  • Update and replace current financial models to support the tendering process for both new and existing clients
  • Pro-actively work with the required FD teams to improve areas / processes of weakness
  • Provide customer and supplier profitability analysis and customer profiling
  • Providing analytical support as required to support key projects and strategies within the Fresh Direct Group
  • Manage medium sized projects and/or actively participate in projects, implement results and ensure sustainability of achievements

Profile

Key Attributes

  • Knowledge of UK accounting principles to part or fully qualified level (preferably CIMA or ACCA)
  • Confident, creative, resilient, independently driven and engaging individual
  • Highly analytical with ability to make sense of large volumes of data
  • A self-starter with strong intellectual curiosity
  • Able to work well with other function in the business
  • Awareness of commercial & financial processes and a willingness to learn in detail
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload independently and decisively
  • Able to conceive, progress and manage new initiatives within the business
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
  • IT confident with the ability to implement new reporting structures that do not drain resource to complete
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a business analysis role

Job Offer

On offer for the successful Finance Business Partner is a salary of Circa. £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience and qualifications. There is also an attractive benefits package as well as parking on site.
