My client is one of the UK`s leading providers of legal and handling services to the general insurance sector and they are looking for a highly organised and friendly Finance Business Partner.
The firm currently provides legal services to 12 of the UK`s 20 largest motor insurers in specialist areas such as counter fraud, large & complex injury, motor and casualty services, recoveries, costs and credit hire. As a result of continued organic growth, the firm is recognised as one of the UK`s fastest growing law firms with six offices, 34 partners and 720 employees, receiving in excess of 65,000 instructions per annum.
Purpose of the Job
To support the Director of Finance and Chief Operating Officer by being "the link" between the Financial and Operational branches of the Firm at all levels, embedding a culture of Finance being a trusted business partner throughout the organisation.
Partnering with key personnel to help develop a strong sense of financial performance within the business
Interpret data, order and assess its value and then present the findings to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise way, sufficient to enable the management teams to understand commercial performance against key levers and KPIs
Providing financial support in evaluating commercial and financial proposals (including bid pricing and offers) ensuring expected business returns are targeted and achieved
Pro-actively investigate variances in expected commercial performance, whether positive or negative, to identify the root cause and pro-actively inform and, as necessary lead in taking corrective action, pro-actively engaging colleagues from across the business
Work closely with the Director of Finance in reviewing and redesign of internal management information reports, liaising with key stakeholders in both Operational and Support Services
Proactively drive improvements in reporting and challenging existing reports
Assist in production of budgets and quarterly re-forecasting exercises alongside the Director of Finance and other key stakeholders of the business
Assisting the Director of Finance with any other responsibilities to ensure relevant and timely information is provided to the business.
To be an integral part of the Accounting function and assist in any duties which may assist in the general improvement of the department
Active involvement in relevant design aspects of the case management system
The ability to challenge and provide progressive solutions to enhance the finance function within the firm.

Prior experience of the legal sector and stakeholder management.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
