Finance Assistant required in Solihull, Birmingham. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join a growing accounts team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build on existing finance experience within a supportive and professional environment.

Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Solihull, Birmingham Business Park (B37) - Initially site-based, hybrid working available after probation period.
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update the daily cashbook, posting journals into Sage

Process supplier invoices and resolve related queries

Manage customer receipts and vendor payments in both Sage and Dolphin systems

Handle multi-currency payments (GBP, USD, EUR) via online banking platforms

Perform month-end reconciliations of supplier and customer statements

Process staff expenses and manage associated reconciliations

Raise override/rebate invoices using Sage

Skills & Experience Required:

Strong understanding of basic accounting procedures and principles

Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Proficient in Excel and general IT systems

Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently

Desirable:

Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role

Proficient in Sage accounting software

Experience with Dolphin system (advantageous but not essential)
