We’re looking for an ambitious Finance Assistant to support our growth, working closely with an Assistant Finance Manager (AFM) and Regional Managers to drive key financial processes across multiple contracts.

Location: Birmingham, B45 9PZ (3 days on-site per week)
Salary: £30,800 per annum

What You’ll Be Doing:

Finance & Business Partnering

  • Supporting the AFM and key operational leaders within your region
  • Preparing critical business reports, including monthly accounts, forecasts, and budgets
  • Supporting balance sheet reviews, highlighting key risks and opportunities

Financial Performance & Analysis

  • Assisting with month-end adjustments, P&L consolidation, and financial reporting
  • Providing transactional support, including invoice processing, supplier account creation, and CAPEX approvals
  • Supporting finance teams with month-end journals and closing accounts

Relationship Management & Collaboration

  • Working cross-functionally with finance and non-finance teams
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships to enhance financial decision-making
What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Experience in management accounting (including financial adjustments)
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to business partner with non-financial stakeholders
  • Currently studying towards CIMA / ACCA / ACA (Management or Applied Skills level)

Desirable:

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with SAP, Cognos, and QuickSight
