Finance Assistant

A successful company based in the Portsmouth area are seeking a new Finance Assistant to join their team. Reporting directly to the Accountant, you will be responsible for reconciling customer accounts and dealing with individual queries, banking including making payments, deposits, collating receipts, preparing invoices for customers including adjustments as required, and monitoring / recording petty cash expenses on Sage.

You will also be responsible for reconciling credit cards, management fuel accounts and reconciling, answering customer queries, processing purchase orders, production of remittances and preparing cheques, bank reconciliations, some light credit control, inputting payroll data and assisting with invoice and payroll runs.

The company uses Sage Accounts, so experience of this would be very beneficial. Payroll experience would be useful but not essential. This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
