Page Personnel are recruiting an Interim Accounts Assistant for a market leading organisation with key finance offices based in Birkenhead, to cover a 9-month maternity leave.
This role would be ideal for a dedicated Accounts Assistant, looking to gain experience of working within a busy and thriving finance department, who are immediately available to start.
As an Interim Accounts Assistant, you will be reporting into the Financial Controller, responsible for assisting with the smooth running of the accounts department.
Duties will include, however are not limited to, updating and maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers, receiving, coding and recording of purchase invoices, authorising and posting purchase invoices in accordance with the correct authority level, posting and allocating cash receipts from bank statements, supplier statement reconciliations, dealing with supplier account queries and producing payment runs.
You will also be required to complete other administrative duties as and when required.
The successful candidate will:
- Have worked in a similar role before
- Have very good verbal and written communication skills
- Have excellent organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines
- Have a professional attitude and be keen to learn
- Be studying towards their AAT or have an accounting related degree
£18,000 - £22,000 + 21 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) + pension scheme + free on-site parking + flexible working + staff discounts
