We are looking for a bright and highly organised individual to join our small finance team. The Finance Assistant will be a crucial part of a dynamic and fast growing company based in West London. The right candidate will not only grow within the finance role, but also enjoy valuable exposure to different areas of the fashion industry, such as production, wholesale, and e-commerce.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the Purchase Ledger
    • Obtaining approval for supplier invoices from the relevant head of department
    • Posting supplier invoices, ensuring that the correct nominal codes, tax code, channel, season and departments are used
    • Dealing with supplier queries and reconciling supplier statements
    • Ensuring that the purchase ledger is accurate and investigating any discrepancies
  • Maintaining the Sales Ledger
    • Raising sales invoice to our wholesale and e-commerce customers
    • Raising credit notes
    • Dealing with customer queries and reconciling customer statements
    • Processing refunds to our e-commerce customers
    • Ensuring that the sales ledger is accurate and investigating any discrepancies
    • Credit control and sending statements out to customers
  • Stock Management
    • Reservations for press loans and photoshoots
    • Allocating stock
    • Booking stock received against purchase orders and investigating discrepancies
  • HR Duties
    • Updating and maintaining the holiday and sick leave tracker
    • Intern induction process
  • Office Management
    • Office management and maintenance, including the ordering of office supplies, liaising with cleaners and arranging office repairs
    • With support from the team, organise and carry out events in the office, such as friends and family shopping evenings, staff birthdays, Christmas party’s etc.
    • General executive administrational support to the Creative Director and Finance and Operations Director
    • Some PA duties and diary maintenance
    • Other add hoc administration as required
The Ideal Candidate

Candidate’s background

  • Experience in similar role
  • AAT studier or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline desired
  • Excel and all MS Office applications
  • Highly accurate, and meticulous eye for detail
