Tailored Recruitment Consultancy are working with an established business in Halifax to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their Accounts team on a six-month contract.
Reporting into the Accounts Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts and with the Financial Accounting work throughout the month to ensure that all requirements are completed accurately and to deadlines
Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts to ensure that they are completed to deadline
Deal accurately with internal and external customer requests, in order to satisfy the request or direct it appropriately.
Complete general administration tasks within the Financial Accounts environment to support all financial reporting and processing.
Reconcile or review allocated balance sheet accounts to ensure that amounts are valid, complete and recoverable.
Reconcile allocated bank accounts within the general ledger to bank statements ensuring that reconciling items are appropriate and resolved on a timely basis.
Assist in the processing of supplier invoices and employee expense claims
Provide cover for all finance department disciplines to ensure that the workload of the department is covered.
- Good working knowledge of Excel
AAT qualified/training towards AAT
Previous experience of working in an accounting environment
