Gerrard McCall are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist medium sized Travel company in the Bristol area who are seeking a Finance Assistant for a maternity cover role. This will be for 9-12 months with possibility for extension.
The role will be working as part of a small team in a busy environment for a strong and friendly company, who specialise in offering exciting tailor-made trips to long haul destinations.
- Payments and Receipts
- Maintaining Spreadsheets
- Reconciling Control and Bank Accounts
- Credit Control
- Sales and Purchase Ledgers
- Completing National Statistics forms
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly and year end accounts
- Handling of Financial Data from Overseas Branches
- Clerical tasks such as filing, handling phone calls, and dealing with mail
- Experience as a Finance Assistant
- Attention to detail
- High level of accuracy essential
- Able to work very well in a team environment
- Excel - intermediate level and above
- Knowledge of Sage or QuickBooks systems - advantageous
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage own workload
- Professional, trustworthy and reliable
- Strong communication skills
