Maternity Contract

Gerrard McCall are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist medium sized Travel company in the Bristol area who are seeking a Finance Assistant for a maternity cover role. This will be for 9-12 months with possibility for extension.

The role will be working as part of a small team in a busy environment for a strong and friendly company, who specialise in offering exciting tailor-made trips to long haul destinations.


  • Payments and Receipts
  • Maintaining Spreadsheets
  • Reconciling Control and Bank Accounts
  • Credit Control
  • Sales and Purchase Ledgers
  • Completing National Statistics forms
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly and year end accounts
  • Handling of Financial Data from Overseas Branches
  • Clerical tasks such as filing, handling phone calls, and dealing with mail


  • Experience as a Finance Assistant
  • Attention to detail
  • High level of accuracy essential
  • Able to work very well in a team environment
  • Excel - intermediate level and above
  • Knowledge of Sage or QuickBooks systems - advantageous
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage own workload
  • Professional, trustworthy and reliable
  • Strong communication skills
