My client seek a finance assistant to join their small but successful team. This role is a permanent finance assistant position carrying out the credit control function for the firm as well as assisting with the day to day functions of the department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected business that is well established.

Basic duties of a finance assistant:

  • Dealing with internal queries about payments
  • Ensuring clients pay on time and debts are paid in a timely manner
  • Meet cash & debtor day targets set by the Firm
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
  • Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required including the collection of Direct Debits
  • Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Checking company bank statements and reconciling
  • Assisting with the company’s payroll
  • Book keeping duties

Desirable attributes of a finance assistant:

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately
  • An eye for detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Understanding of Confidentiality
  • Useful qualifications include AAT

Salary dependant on experience Hours are Mon-Fri 9-5 with a fantastic benefits package.
