To process a number of accounting transactions to the business' financial management system including: client payment and receipt transactions - expenses claims from staff members - petty cash entries for all locations - firms nominal ledger expenditure - transfers and journals.

To be responsible for performing daily Bank Reconciliations. Investigation and resolution of any unmatched items.
To be responsible for the review, processing and control of expenses reclaims, including ensuring that all claims submitted are in line with policy.
To be responsible, as required for the purchase ledger in all its aspects including processing of invoices, ensuring appropriate authorisation and filing of invoices etc.
To analyse invoices received to ensure appropriate cost centres and ledger codes are allocated to invoices prior to processing to the financial management system.
To assist in the analysis of overhead expenditure using the functionality of Excel as required.
To be responsible for the accurate reconciliation of all designated accounts on a monthly basis, with any anomalies investigated and corrected.
To succeed in this role you have significant previous experience as a Finance Assistant role in a high volume transactional team.
Whatever your career background, enthusiasm, accuracy and a sharp eye for detail will be essential.
You'll need strong organisational skills to ensure your workload is completed in a timely and accurate manner. An ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment to strict timescales is fundamental.
You will also be proficient with Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
