Finance Assistant job with a charity in Oldham paying up to £11 per hour.

My client is a growing charity based in Oldham. Due to a recent merger with another charity in the Manchester area this company are recruiting into their expanding finance team, the role is initially temporary to manage the workload but there are permanent opportunities for the right candidate.
Your new role
As a Finance Assistant you will be responsible for managing the end to end accounts payable process. This will include matching batching and coding invoices onto the ledger, and ensuring this is done accurately. You will also be responsible for the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payment runs, so you must be comfortable with these processes to provide an efficient service. You will also have involvement in bank and supplier statement reconciliations, as well as liaising with suppliers to resolve any queries. To aid in your own development you will be given exposure to other areas of finance within the team which will help to enhance your knowledge and experience.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience of processing high volumes of invoices in a fast-paced environment, and in preparing payments runs preferably within a charitable organisation. You will be confident in picking new systems up quickly, as the successful candidate needs to be able to hit the ground running with minimal training using a bespoke system.
