Finance Assistant job with a charity in Stockport paying up to £18,500 per year.

My client is a growing charity based in Stockport. This charity offers care and support for disabled adults and children, and continue to expand into new areas of charitable work which is causing the company to expand rapidly.
Your new role
As a Finance Assistant you will be responsible for a variety a transactional accounting work in the office. This will include processing of both purchase and sales invoices for the company, you must be comfortable with processing high volumes of invoices in an accurate and effective manner. You will also chase up overdue invoices which will require you to be assertive at times but also be able to approach certain situations sensitively where required. There will also be some requirement for you to assist with payroll which will give you exposure to this area of finance if you haven't previously had this.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience in a transactional accounting role, so that you are comfortable with the processes you will be undertaking in this position. You will be keen to get involved with other areas of finance to assist your colleagues in the office, which will also help you gain more experience and enhance your career.
