Finance Assistant - Property Company

Are you a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant / Accounts Clerk, looking to work for a very profitable and high profile property construction business with great future progression on offer? Do you have between 18 months and 3 years experience working as a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant (ideally in the property or construction sector) and are keen to work in a small yet growing finance team where you will be trained and learn new skills? Do you have experience of Sage 50 and Excel? Are you keen to work for a reputable and growing property development business based in West London (zone 3), with a turnover of £20m? Are you keen to work in a newly created role (due to strong growth in the last few years), assisting the head of finance with a wide range of duties and be groomed for a higher level position in the future? Are you also looking for study support for your remaining AAT / ACCA exams? Working directly with a highly experienced head of finance, your position will include processing purchase ledger invoices and allocations of payments, general data entry, reconcile supplier statements, processing expenses, posting and allocation of receipts from debtors, analysis and posting of credit card statements, preparation of the weekly payment run to subcontractors, assisting with payroll, assisting with CIS and VAT returns, filing, scanning and other ad hoc duties as required. To start with your role will mainly involve processing duties and maintaining financial records but your role will progress very quickly and you will gain exposure to higher level duties in the near future. Your role will be varied, challenging, yet hugely enjoyable.

To be considered for this new and very exciting position you must be a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant and have between 18 months and 3 years of finance related experience. You must be looking to learn from an experienced financial controller and you must be enthusiastic about progressing in a medium sized yet rapidly growing property construction business based in Zone 3 West London. You must have experience of basic bookkeeping, double entry and data entry type duties. Experience of sageline 50 and Excel is essential. You must be professional, hard working, accurate and have attention to detail. You must also be able to commute to West London, so it is likely you will live in either West London, North West London or South West London.
