Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of a fast expanding business based in Leatherhead. We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team on a part time permanent basis. The role requires someone to work 30 hours per week and this can be done over 4 or 5 days where you will be required to go in to the office twice a week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with Financial Managers and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks including but not limited to bookkeeping, postings etc.
  • Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions.
  • Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, payables, receivables and purchase orders where needed.
  • Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.
  • Liaise and manage payroll activities with concerned personnel.
  • Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors and vendors.
  • Verify payments and deposits made through the company account.
  • Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
  • Month end journals including payroll, accruals, pre-payments, depreciation, etc

Qualifications

  • Intermediate level Excel ability (Vlookups, Pivot tables, ability to work with large spreadsheets)
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads under pressure
  • Willingness to learn and develop
