Finance Assistant / Padawan - Construction / Hire company

Location: Billericay (Driving License Essential)
We are looking for a candidate with excellent knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts & Payroll, conversant with Excel and possesses experience working in construction/hire company accounting positions.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm with an hour for lunch.
Holidays: 20 days p.a. + BHs.
Skills/Qualifications | Finance Assistant:
- Good working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts (2017), Outlook, Word & Excel.
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths.
- Finance experience in the Hire/Construction industry.
Key Duties | Finance Assistant:
Weekly bank reconciliation.
Daily Shawbrook bank reconciliation.
Carrying out administrative duties including filing, copying, scanning and record keeping.
Assisting the Financial Director in the production of accounts, analysis of the books and preparation of reports and monitoring of cash flow.
Taking minutes at the monthly management meetings.
Adhering to company policies and procedures relating to health and safety, the environment and quality management.
Purchase ledger management.
Regular supplier contact by phone and email.
Making adjustments, handling queries and resolving problems within company guidelines and policy.
