Horizon Search & Selection currently have a brilliant opportunity to a candidate who is wishing to begin a career within a Finance Office environment and are seeking a Finance & Administration Assistant. This exciting position with a prolific local employer offers the opportunity to receive formal training and begin a career within a progressive and dedicated organisation. Initially offered on a temporary basis for a period of 12 weeks, this position will turn into a permanent role for the right candidate.

The company are a thriving logistics firm who are industry leaders, providing not only warehousing and logistics solutions, but also who work in partnership with their customers to provide tailor-made service solutions including customer service centres, e-commerce and engineering sales.

Supporting the finance team and on occasion, other departments, offering a high quality and professional support through effective task administration. To play an active part of the Finance and Support teams within the company. Providing effective assistance to the Finance and Support teams acting as first level support for queries from both staff and management across the organisation at an administrative level. To work effectively towards realistic deadlines and expected standards.

Duties and Responsibilities to include

  • General administration duties
  • Reception duties such as answering calls, liaising with staff, greeting visitors
  • Manage post and deliveries
  • Filing and organising paperwork
  • Undertake NVQ Business Administration
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly sales invoices
  • Other various duties commensurate with the role

This role presents an ideal opportunity for someone who is seeking a new challenge within an administration based role who is keen to learn and develop. As the role is based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds as such, the ability to be able to drive would make it much easier for the successful candidate to arrive at work each day.
