Finance Analyst

Our client is a market leading manufacturing business, part of an international group and based in North Sheffield who are currently seeking a Finance Analyst to join their team due to growth.

The purpose of the role is to prepare and review accurate regular and ad hoc analysis for the group and individual business units enabling the commercial and operational teams to make strategic decisions and meet external reporting commitments.

The role will be part of a three person team covering both commercial and operational elements of four trading entities in the UK.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director and Senior Finance Manager your duties will involve:-

Supporting FP&A function in ad hoc project and reporting requirements to drive the business to achieve budget and forecast targets, this will involve acting as a Business Partner to other functions.
Sales Reporting - organising, setting up and maintaining reporting structures for the commercial and wider business teams across the group.
Sales Reporting - ad hoc reports for sales teams, weekly customer performance, average selling price, mix and margin analysis across the group.
Operations Reporting - organising, setting up and maintaining reporting structures for the operations and wider business teams across the group.
Operations Reporting - preparation of weekly scorecards covering operational KPIs and highlighting trends to inform accurate forecasts.
Daily Reporting - preparation of daily business reports covering commercial and operations.
Lean Operating System - supporting in the provision of data for continuous improvement projects.
Month End - provision of analysis on P&L variances as part of the month end review.

Necessary skills and experience include:-

Degree level in relevant business subject (desirable).
CIMA/ACA/ACCA full or part qualified or qualified by experience.
Experience in an analyst type role involving the extraction, manipulation and reporting of complex data sets (essential).
Experience of a manufacturing accounting / analysis background (desirable) including stock and standard costings experience.
Ability to extract commercial information and analysis from large data files.
Verbal and written presentation skills - present findings and influence decision.
Excel - advanced.
