Finance Analyst / FP&A Analyst - Suffolk

Part of a FTSE 250 Group with over a billion pounds in turnover each year, our client are a market leading Energy retailer who specialise in B2B sales. Looking to engage with an FP&A Analyst, this key role will ensure management information is provided in timely and accurate manner whilst providing insight into business performance.

The is a fantastic opportunity for the FP&A Analyst to support the Head of FP&A in the development of business planning and forecast modelling. Essential requirements from the Finance Analyst / FP&A Analyst:

  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent) or Finalist,
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong IT skills (Advanced Excel skills)
  • Sage 200 and MS SQL knowledge desirable
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communicator/team worker

Key responsibilities expected from the Finance Analyst / FP&A Analyst:

  • Completion of periodic financial reporting
  • Preparing variance analysis
  • Identifying, quantifying and understanding differences in budget and quarterly forecast
  • Ensuring management account processes are efficient and suggest areas of improvement
  • Running and distributing monthly/weekly financial reports
  • Acting as a key point of contact for Cost Centre owners
  • Supporting in the drafting of the monthly board report
  • Seeking opportunities to improve the performance of the FP&A function
  • Supporting the Treasury accountant with daily cash requirements
  • Supporting the Gross Margin accountant
