I am recruiting on behalf of my client who is looking for an experienced Finance Administrator.
To work within the finance function of the organisation processing and producing a range of invoices, receipts, expenses and payments across a diverse organisation and answering queries by telephone and email from both external and internal customers in a solution focussed way.
So as a Finance Administrator what do you need to do to make this happen?
*Work accurately to ensure items are correctly authorised, processed and loaded on the finance system in a timely manner
*Answer queries in a solution-focused manner with regard to our organisation values and taking in to account risk, outcomes, safety and impact
*Be flexible and adapt to different financial roles and tasks on a regular basis within the processing team to ensure that all forms of absence can be covered
Main duties and responsibilities (this is not an exhaustive list)
*Processing a high volume of supplier invoices, expenses claim for staff and volunteers, and reimburse petty cash claims accurately within the finance system (Unit4 Financials - Agresso)
*Assist in compiling and transmitting payment runs via BACS and cheques.
*Answering and resolving queries from suppliers, purchasers and staff
*Provide support to manage the team email account and respond to email request.
*Reconcile supplier statements and support other team members in making payments to given deadlines.
*Engaging in team activities and supporting the wider finance team to achieve the Charity's goals
*Act in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and Information Governance Policies
*Comply with legal and regulatory requirements such as provisions set out in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
*To act in accordance with the Charity's Health & Safety and Safeguarding policies and to notify your line manager promptly if there are any concerns
*To participate in team meetings and undertake any relevant training as appropriate to the role
*To work in accordance with the Charity's national policies and local operating procedures and those of external regulators or professional bodies
*To be able to work with basic computer packages and Microsoft products.
