Morgan Hunt are currently working with a West London Local Authority to recruit for a Film Officer.
The role is temporary, initially for a 6 month period with the possibility of an extension after that period. The post is for 4 days (28 hours) per week and paying £150 per day through an umbrella company.
The role requires an understanding of what makes a film or photography location work from a visual perspective as well as in practical terms. Some knowledge of parking restrictions and highways management is desirable.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in film locations work or a related area, interpreting film and photography briefs and working to tight deadlines.
Candidates will need to have a pro-active commercial mindset, good negotiation skills, strong multitasking and organisation skills as well as a creative problem-solving ability.
It involves talking to members of the public on the phone and sometimes face to face so good people skills are essential.
Some photography skills would be an asset, as would knowledge of generating basic aerial plans of an area with text and markings using Microsoft programs.
The candidate should also have a full clean driving licence as there may be some travelling involved.
