Salary £19,000 plus on call payments (1 weekend in 4) and bonus (which will be discussed further with successful candidate) Office Hours Mon-Fri 8.30am-4.30pm also alternate weekend work and care calls as required.
Must have 1 year`s previous experience of completing risk assessments, spot checks, reviews.
Must drive and live within easy access of following areas.
Wythenshawe, Stretford, Moss Side, Gorton, Stockport
MAIN PURPOSE: To supervise Care Staff in the community
RESPONSIBLE TO: Branch Manager
To assist with the Induction of new care staff, namely shadowing and maintaining all relevant documentation.
To undertake training relevant to the position.
To attend and where requested represent the company at non-complex care reviews and other meetings.
Ensuring that Care Plans and Risk assessments are completed within twenty four hours of service commencing.
To attend team meetings with field staff on a regular basis.
To make random checks on care staff for time keeping and quality of care.
To facilitate the smooth running of the company by direct supervision where necessary.
Not to act in any way which is detrimental to the Service User or Company.
To be on call on a rotational basis, and take responsibility if a run goes down.
To action all alerts, ensuring that they are documented. Ensure a full handover completed the following morning.
To work evenings and weekends as required.
To undertake other duties that are necessary to the main purpose of your job, such as checking medication sheets and communication sheets are completed.
To keep up to date with relevant policies and procedures and to support the implementation and monitoring of these.
To ensure that care staff are following administrative duties are carried out (including financial procedures, record keeping, Health and Safety and Risk Assessments).
To ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Assist with problems that may arise between Care workers and Service Users effectively on a daily basis.
Ensure all associated administration is in place through liaison with the office staff
To respect Service User and Staff confidentiality in accordance with Company Policy and the Data Protection Act.
To be accountable for your work practice and take responsibility for maintaining and improving your knowledge and skills by attending ongoing training as requested by the company.
To follow the complaints procedure in cases of dispute and to report all accidents/incidents, no matter how minor, to the registered manager
All other appropriate duties that fall within the purview of the post as may be agreed
