Area: Field Based (1 x Bristol, 1 x Peterborough, 1 x North East)
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 DOE, Tools, Liveried Van
Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday, plus weekend on-call rota
Based in Warrington, Cheshire, StortEskens provides its customers with a wide range of tinting and mixing solutions. With over 12 years of experience in the UK paint and coatings industry, we are capable of supporting everything from the smallest tinting operation to large scale projects with major retail and coatings companies. StortEskens has rapidly expanded over the past two years and is now the largest independent Tinting Machine Sales and Service Company in the UK and Ireland. An excellent opportunity has now arisen for three Field Service Technicians to join our team to help us continue to grow and maintain our fantastic reputation. We are looking for three individuals who are driven with a passion and desire to succeed in their role.
This is the ideal role for a skilled electro mechanical engineer with great fault-finding skills looking to join a continuously expanding company. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for supporting, installing and maintaining our client’s colour/paint tinting and mixing systems at sites throughout the UK and Ireland, we are looking for candidates who are based in Bristol, Peterborough and the North East to fulfil the geographical requirements of our client’s locations. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you’ll prepare, install and maintain colour Dispensers, Mixers and Shakers in a timely and efficient manner. You will reactively service and calibrate equipment following any reported errors or faults, whilst taking a hands-on approach to developing your own skill-set and knowledge. Additionally, you will report all work performed, pass on any urgent feedback and ensure that your tools and materials are appropriately maintained and vehicle fully stocked. To be considered for this role, you must have knowledge and experience of:
An electro mechanical engineering background
Previous experience of technical, mechanical, electrical and software based faults
Electrical and Electronic knowledge
A full driving licence
As a Field Service Technician, you must have a strong customer focus, have great communication skills both verbal and written, a flexible approach to work, being able to stay away from home at short notice and weekend working. Organised and efficient, you must also take pride in your work and have a willingness to learn. Whilst not essential, experience of installing and maintaining colour Dispensers, Mixers and Shakers would be beneficial to your application.
