Field Service Engineer / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer

Location: Manchester

Rota: Days Mon-Fri (40hrs per week but also take part in a call out rota)

Pay Rate: £13.22 - 19.83ph (Call out rate and overtime available)

A great opportunity has for a skilled fitter has come up for a client of mine in the Manchester area.
My client, a large transport company with a sizable depot in the Manchester area are looking to recruit skilled Field Service Engineer / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer on a full time basis.

Applicants must have served a recognised apprenticeship as a Field Service Engineer / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer and hold NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.

Our Field Service Engineer / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer will have to be able to cope with the day to day pressures that a normal vehicle workshop brings and be able to make decisions when faced with breakdowns or vehicle accidents. It is essential they have Bus/Coach experience.

This role in 90% workshop based, when required to visit an external site a pool vehicle will be made available.

As a Field Service Engineer / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer there will be a requirement to take part in a call out rota. Whilst on the call there is a financial uplift and if called out on a weekend you would receive a minimum of 4 hours on the overtime rate of time and a half.

Possession of a full UK Driving licence is required and holding a Cat D Licence would be an advantage, however driver training can be provided to the successful Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer.
