* Want to work for an expanding market leading manufacturer with a huge product line
As a Field Service Engineer your weekly and monthly responsibilities are going to be varied and busy, but the fundamentals will remain the same; machine testing, installation, commissioning, training, service and breakdown of a variety of slitting and rewinding machinery once you have completed your training period.
As a Field Service Engineer, you know that you will be expected to travel regularly. This will be throughout the UK, Europe, South Africa, South America, the USA and may extend to the Rest of the World spending up to 50% of your time on client sites, with the remaining time being spent at the UK Head office in Ipswich. There are additional Field Service Engineers and Controls Engineers based in the UK and the USA to support you and aid your development.
Essentially you will spend your first 3-6 months of work in the office and factory; assisting with machines being manufactured and assembled and then being involved in their testing.
When fully trained and ready you will then move on to the installation and commissioning of machinery at customer sites. Future responsibilities for you will include the general PPM and service of machinery and attending ADHOC Breakdowns. Once mobile as a Field Service Engineer there will be a lot of travel - you could be averaging 2+ weeks of travel per month.
