Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering Services Division are supporting an innovative capital equipment manufacturing company to recruit a Field Service Engineer to provide frontline support to their UK and international customer base.

The Field Service Engineer will be tasked with delivering installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operator training services across all product platforms as part of a supportive and dynamic team.

Reporting to the Service Manager and working closely with Design, Assembly, Production, and Quality functions, the Field Service Engineer will need to be a confident engineer with strong fault-finding skills, mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties of the Field Service Engineer will include:

  • Installations, commissioning, servicing, fault finding, and repair
  • Planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and provide rapid response to breakdowns and service calls
  • Conduct detailed mechanical and electrical fault diagnostics across a range of complex systems
  • Support Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT), including validation documentation and customer sign-off
  • Provide in-person and remote customer training during installation and post-commissioning
  • Accurately complete technical service documentation

Skills and Experience for the Field Service Engineer:

  • Recognised qualification in mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering (e.g. HNC, NVQ Level 3, or apprenticeship)
  • Experience in field-based servicing of capital equipment
  • Competence in mechanical fitting, hydraulics/pneumatics, and electrical fault-finding
  • Working knowledge of Siemens and Allen-Bradley controllers and HMI interfaces, with the ability to upload and download programs
  • Comfortable working independently on diverse customer sites across the UK and internationally
