A great opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist who is looking to move into scientific sales, or someone holding a scientific degree (ideally Biomedical Sciences or Biological Sciences based), with post degree experience working in a sales or customer-focused position, looking to apply this experience into scientific field sales!
PRODUCTS: In-vitro diagnostics products, reagents and instrumentation used in microbiology, haematology, point of care, immunology, biochemistry labroatory, as well as research and academic laboratories.
CUSTOMERS: Clinical and Research Laboratories
TERRITORY: M4 corridor (Swansea, Cardiff, Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Oxford, Reading, London).
The role is field-based, with around 80% travel to customer sites across the region, with around 1 day per week working from home.
Maintain existing customer relationships
Develop and expand on new business opportunities
Assist with instrument demonstrations for customers.
Attendance at industry networking events, conferences and exhibitions
Maintain excellent knowledge of the market, competitor activity and market developments.
Science degree (ideally Biomedical or Life Science based) Post-degree laboratory experience in a clinical setting (ideally working as a Biomedical Scientist)
Experience in sales is preferred, however, not essential as full training is provided.
This scientific sales role is suitable for people looking to move away from the laboratory into a customer-focused, commercial position. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to communicate scientific products and material to customers.
