Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as a Field Service Engineer to be based in our Aberdeen office.
Provide life cycle support for Schneider Electric (Foxboro and Triconex )and third party Automation solutions specifically regarding Installation, Maintenance, repair and retrofits. Present a professional & efficient image to Schneider Electric customers. Provide Technical support to internal and external Customers. Seek business opportunities at all times in order to promote the business growth.
Duties to include but not limited to:
-Installation, repair, servicing, retrofitting, commissioning, and testing of Foxboro and Triconex Process Automation solutions for clients operating in the North Sea ( UK Continental Shelf). Mainland U.K and Nordic.
-Break-fix emergency support
-Onsite Engineering Services.
-Modernisation / Upgrades on Schneider Electric systems and competitive upgrades
-Provide out of hours support on a rota basis.
-Create and issue test documentation and reports.-Support the Sales / Account management colleagues as required.

-HNC/HND / Degree is Control / Instrumentation
-Extensive experience and knowledge of current or legacy Schneider Process Automation products
-Good practical Software, I.T and Electrical/Electronic skills
-The ability and confidence to work alone on own initiative
-Ability to write procedures and instruct others in the use thereof
- Flexible and willing to travel approx 50% of the time, offshore, to Scandinavia and the Baltics. These will occur during shutdowns and will be approx 2/3 weeks duration and approx 5 per year. The rest of the travel will be shorter, 1 week trips, on an ad hoc basis.
