Your new company
Our client provides care and support to adults aged 18-65 with a range of complex needs, such as learning disabilities and physical disabilities, epilepsy is also common amongst the service users, across all 3 sites. They have immediate need for additional support workers for long term assignments across their sites.
Your new role
You will be working closely with the permanent members of staff, supporting the emotional needs of service users and will be required to promote independence; personal care may be required. Hours will vary dependent on the supervision required and your availability and you will be expected to cover night shifts as well as weekend shifts. Typical shifts include 7am-2pm, 2pm-9pm and 9pm-7am.
What you'll need to succeed
This role is open to female applicants only due to the nature of the service and its users. Due to the locations, you must be able to drive or live local enough to commute. You must be open to the prospect of working both nights and weekends.
Full online training must be completed prior to placement; this will be provided by Hays. A minimum of 6 months experience within the last 2 years is required and an NVQ L2/L3 would be advantageous but not essential.
We must be able to obtain 2 recent and relevant references, to a satisfactory standard.
