REED Social Care are currently heading up a recruitment drive in partnership with our client, a rapidly expanding homecare company, for care assistants to work throughout South Lanarkshire in the community, in areas such as Lesmahagow, Lanark, Hamilton and Uddingston. Due to the nature of this role, you need to be a driver with a car to be considered - you should also ideally have an SVQ 2 (minimum).

Shifts will be split shifts, generally working between 7am - 2pm, and 330pm – 10pm, however there is flexibility to cover early runs only or late runs only. Each client is roughly a 15 minute call time, with minimal travelling between clients. The shift pattern is one week Monday, Thursday Friday and the next week Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday.

Your duties will include:

-Assisting clients to get dressed
-Personal Care
-Meal Preparation
-Assisting with bedtime routine and getting clients to bed
-Medication

In return, you will receive an hourly rate of £8.75/hour and mileage.

These are permanent roles are being offered on an a temporary-to-permanent basis (12 week trial/probationary period).
