Female Children’s Support worker - Peckham

Hours - 5 x 10 hour nights

Pay - £11.72 p/h

Pulse Community Healthcare has a rewarding opportunity for support workers to join our team in supporting our young male client with heart conditions. Our client loves playing with musical toys, being engaged with and being out in the community with his family.

Support workers will be expected to provide personal care, manage clinical interventions and facilitate our client’s interests and hobbies. Relevant specialist training will be offered to the successful support worker allowing for the effective care of the client.

This role is for 10 hour night shifts and is offering competitive pay of up to £11.72 per hour.

As a Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care to the client
  • Moving and handling
  • Tracheostomy care and management
  • Interacting with the client to aid interests.

The ideal support worker will have:

  • A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of professional boundaries
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
