As a Compliance Manager within the Compliance team you will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and will be responsible for day to day management of the business’s second line of defence.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide compliance solutions, advice and guidance to the business relating to FCA regulation as it applies to a consumer credit business and other regulatory obligations including but not limited to data protection and anti-money laundering

  • Lead the implementation of 2LOD monitoring and quality assurance activities in line with the Board approved Compliance Monitoring Plan

  • Lead the delivery of the staff induction and training programme to ensure that all new joiners and existing staff are aware of the regulatory responsibilities attached to their roles

  • Draft and ensure there are up to date policies, procedures and processes in place to mitigate operational and regulatory risks identified by the business

  • Collaborate with the business operations and technology teams to ensure that all business is conducted in line with the applicable compliance regulations, guidance and internal policies and procedures

  • Provide support on business and regulatory projects as requested to the Management of the business

  • Maintain and promote our culture of Treating Customers Fairly, and report on the effectiveness of TCF KPIs to the Executives

  • Act as the liaison between the business and third party auditors including assisting with coordinating the business’s response to investor due diligence exercises

  • Keep and maintain up to date all regulatory logs, registers and time tables including ensuring that there is a process in place for recording risk incidents

  • Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with regulatory filings as requested

  • Collaborate with all teams to ensure that there are processes for compliance approval for new products, revisions to existing products and financial promotions

  • Act in a counter fraud capacity to investigate and report on incidences of fraud against the business

  • Keep up to date with trends and changes in the regulatory landscape

Your Skills and Experience

  • Strong compliance experience in Consumer Finance, with knowledge of financial services laws and experience of the regulatory requirements within FCA Handbook and other relevant regulatory bodies

  • Execution-focused, with intellectual strength and the flexibility to quickly metabolise complex issues and provide workable solutions

  • Ability to work across our technology, credit and operations teams to ensure compliance with law and effective monitoring at an early stage of product/feature development and for the entire lifecycle of the product

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to deal with complex issues / projects whilst managing multiple (and potentially conflicting) stakeholder requirements and teams in numerous jurisdictions
