Fall Protection Installation Engineer
Sheffield S4 - full driving licence essential
As Fall Protection Installation Engineer reporting to our Fall Protection Department Manager or Project Managers, on site you’ll be responsible for installing, testing and re-certifying fall protection and access systems; wire-based systems; guardrails; eyebolts; abseil rails, and other associated equipment. Promoting client relationships and offering outstanding customer service, you’ll try where possible, to extend our client portfolio, whilst promoting a safety culture as an absolute priority. Ensuring works are completed in line with all instructions, best practice, legislation, British Standards, company policy and procedures (ISO 9001:2008), including Risk Assessment/Method Statements, you’ll also:
Preferably with a formal Mechanical Engineering qualification, you’ll need a proven track record in a similar role, together with knowledge of present-day construction techniques, legislation appertaining to Health & Safety on-site and, ideally, of CDM Regulation. Able to read construction drawings and experienced in the use of hand tools - drills, grinders etc. - you’re also willing and able to work effectively individually and as part of a team. With excellent interpersonal, influencing and problem-solving skills, you’re also:
• able to work at height
• willing to work out of hours work, evenings and weekends
• willing to work nationwide with the associated travel and overnight stays
• in possession of a full, current UK driving licence.
We will provide any extra necessary training. Day-to-day on sites throughout the UK
Required Qualifications & Knowledge:
·Understanding of construction drawings, schematics and instruction manuals.
·Must have Full UK driving license (maximum six points).
·Ability working with Steel, Aluminium and Stainless Steel.
·Understanding of hand and power tools for working with the above materials.
