Factory Operative

Are you a skilled Factory Operative with experience operating Power Pallet Trucks or Machines? If so, our client is seeking several individuals like you to join their team based on the Slough Trading Estate. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FMCG company.

About the Role:

- Contract Type: Temporary

- Hourly Rate: £11.44 to £13.90

- Working Pattern: Part Time

- Shift Pattern/Rota: 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week on a rolling rota

-Days: 0700 - 1900 (7am - 7pm)

-Nights: 1900 - 0700 (7pm - 7am)

As a Factory Operative, you will:

• Demonstrate ownership and responsibility for a set of machines, pieces of equipment, and/or processes within your working area
• Carry out routine operational tasks required to achieve area targets, such as starting-up, shutting-down, monitoring, cleaning, and carrying out basic changeovers, minor repairs, routine checks and inspections, and the use of basic ancillary equipment and computer programmes
• Ensure full compliance with Quality, Health and Safety at Work, and Good Manufacturing Practises (GMP) at all times
• Work well both independently and as part of a team of up to 15 associates in a busy production environment
• Be accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment
• Escalate issues as appropriate and provide accurate verbal and written handovers
• Repair mechanical breakdowns using your trained knowledge and experience
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable spending time on your feet throughout your shift

Experience Required:

• Educated to GCSE level or above
• Fluent English verbal and written skills
• Experience in a similar role in the FMCG/Factory Operations industry is desirable
• Experienced Power Pallet Truck or Machine operator
