Factory Floor Supervisor/Team Leader Manufacturing

Our client has a new permanent opportunity to join there manufacturing facility in Corby for a Factory Floor Supervisor / Team Leader. The role will involve day to day control of a team of operators, to include labour, quality, training and health and safety.

The Role

  • To work and support 8-10 team members (including agency workers) on shfit

  • Allocate labour as required at start of shift.

  • Ensuring that you are trained in all aspects of the job that you are doing, and that your performance is to the standards set so as to produce products to the required quality specifications.

  • Support the rest of the team members by sharing know how, delivering training or advising the Health, Safety and Training Co-ordinator of a training needed within the teams.

  • Ensure that you have the tools and equipment necessary to do the job.

    To share responsibility for all aspects of the cell at all times.

  • Run and monitor performance of own cell effectively.

  • To provide hands on assistance with workload as and when required.

  • To work together as a team to complete the tasks.

  • Effectively use labour to achieve the required tasks.

  • To monitor the product quality and outputs.

  • Communicate any issues to the managers through communication and participation to develop the team spirit.

  • Start up machines when required.

  • Packing and checking the finished products.

  • Co-ordinate the work as a team.

  • Work in the area as part of the team.

  • Manage the resources & utilisation as a team.

  • Maintain the quality standards with the team.

  • Ensure your training is up to date and relevant.

  • Ensure you and the teamwork in a safe manner at all times.

  • Allocate labour resources at beginning and where necessary during the shift.

  • Recommend changes to the team’s routine.

  • Attend health & safety meetings.

    The Candidate

  • Experienced in leading a team – must be a strong motivational people person/team leader

  • Working knowledge of administration

  • Manufacturing/Production background

  • Able to demonstrate commitment to quality and efficiency

  • Efficient on daily basis.

  • Responsible as you will be in charge whole site out of hours and at weekends to include Health and Safely issues.

    This is a permanent position. The hours of work will be on a shift rota basis .
