Facilities Services Supervisor

Do you have experience managing directly employed and subcontracted staff? Do you have experience of working in a customer focused environment?

We have an interesting opportunity for you to join our client in the Higher Education sector working as a Facilities Services Supervisor. You will be responsible for ensuring standards, maintaining service levels, meeting customers' expectations, liaising with and directing a wide range of personnel working on campus. You will also liaise with and establish good working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders on site to ensure efficient, effective and customer oriented services are maintained.

This is ongoing role and you must be available to start before the end of February. The salary is £17.10 to £19.90 per hour depending on your experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will supervise, audit and report on all portering responsibilities at the campus ensuring the acceptable level of performance in their duties.
  • You will be responsible for the budget and you will attend budget monitoring and setting meetings
  • You will liaise with other Facilities Management staff to ensure at all times the quality of departmental services delivered on site and compliance with relevant departmental policies.
  • You will assist with facilitating repairs and building work as required.
  • You will comply at all times with all published university policies and procedures.
  • You will actively seek ways and methods to improve and enhance the customer experience.

Key requirements:

  • You must have experience of managing staff
  • You must have experience working in a customer focused environment
  • You must have excellent communication skills, IT literacy, time management skills, attention to detail, as well as the ability to work as part of a team with diverse responsibilities
  • You must have BIFM level 4 qualification or equivalent
  • You must have IOSH Certificate in Managing Safely or equivalent
