Facilities Project Technician

£40,000 + Benefits
Monday - Thursday 7:30am-4.30pm and Friday 7:30-12:20pm (39 hours PW)
Our client has an opportunity for an organised and meticulous individual to join their Facilities team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining facility processes, the fabric of the facility and delivery of assigned facility projects. You will be responsible for processing job requests following a variety of workplace inspections, including pest control, pressure vessel and LOLER. With good Health and Safety knowledge, you will manage visitor and contractor visits and will ensure that Risk Assessments are routinely carried out to ensure the wellbeing of staff and visitors. Practical experience of problem solving, fault finding and creative solution management is an essential requirement of this role. You will manage the facilities capital projects, collating quotes from suitable contractors and completing any documentation including a CAPEX application, so a proven record of driving projects expeditiously through to final implementation is required.
With experience of working within a manufacturing / industrial environment, you will have a background of working in a similar facilities role. It is desirable but not essential that you will have an electrical bias and be educated to HNC or equivalent. It is essential that you have a flexible approach to work and hours, as you may on occasion be required to work outside the core hours. You will be self motivated and proactive individual and will be accustomed to prioritising tasks to meet tight deadlines. Confident and resilient, you will liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders and remain focussed in challenging situations. Previous work in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment would be advantageous.
