Facilities Manager

Location: Field Based role across Essex and Hertfordshire

Salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (flexibility required)

Extras: Vehicle or mileage allowance, Laptop, Phone, Tablet

Holiday: 28 days per annum (including bank holidays)

Objective: To manage and maintain homes within set region to the expected high standard.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and manage homes within set region to high standards
  • Ensuring building and environments meet high standards
  • Initiating a proactive schedule of future works
  • Monitor and support maintenance staff
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required
  • To comply with all rules and regulations including health and safety and welfare of residents and colleagues

Person Specification:

Experience:

  • Experience of working in a care setting
  • Previous experience in a maintenance/caretaking role or the building profession
  • Handy person or DIY experience
  • Experience of managing large self-contained domestic type standalone properties

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and regulations e.g. COSHH
  • Environmental issues

Skills/Competencies:

  • Good record keeping
  • Results focussed
  • Practical problem solving skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Awareness of safeguarding vulnerable adults

Behaviours:

  • Trustworthy
  • Willing to undertake training when necessary
