Facilities Manager

iRecruit Partners are working with a company in Marlow who are searching for a Facilities Manager to join their team. The Facilities Manager will report to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Head of Finance, International and be responsible for the overall oversight and management of the HQ site as well as the Company’s international offices. This includes all building infrastructure maintenance, safety and security programs and capacity planning. This individual will be responsible for ensuring a high level of service for the growing organization, as well as assist with strategic planning efforts to ensure facilities capacity meets short term and long-term operational demand.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all aspects of facilities services and operations of an 36,000 sq. ft. facility located in Marlow
  • Oversee expansion into new international offices, including Japan
  • Liaise with the Director of Global Security for oversight of building security, including contracted security staff
  • Provides overall guidance and sets policies for providing reliable and efficient building services and support the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety programs
  • Responsible for the management of facilities budget and ensures budgets, resources, and planning are aligned with corporate objectives
  • Work with vendor partners to ensure they are an extension of the client
  • Lead the strategic planning, selection and design of new space for the company as we continue to grow
  • Responsible for shipping and receiving

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to provide a high level of service delivery, including the ability to work in a collaborative environment and the ability to lead our vendor partners
  • Proven success in communicating and influencing without direct hierarchical structures across a range of cultures and styles
  • Ability to handle multiple requests, be responsive to customer requests/service issues, meet deadlines and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress
  • Experience developing and managing budgets with strong financial skills
  • Solid experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and departments to meet company goals and standards
  • Proven ability of project and program management at scale with high level of execution and quality
  • Demonstrated ability to scale an organization as the company grows
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Incumbent will be required to carry a mobile phone and be on call as necessary to support operations
  • Ability and willingness to travel (10%) and work from affiliate offices across the region
  • Good working knowledge of applicable building regulations and codes
  • Experience in Bio-pharmaceutical and/or related regulated industries, specifically with research focused organizations
  • Minimum intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
