Purpose

Deliver facilities projects and improvements.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Support the Facilities Manager in project delivery and other activities
  • Day-to-day management of multiple projects and improvement works on a live operational Semiconductor manufacturing site
  • Coordinate, supervise and deliver Facilities projects and improvements from inception through to completion
    Establish design brief / project specifications / scope of works.  Establish and communicate project feasibility, timescale and budget information. Request, collate and distribute all contractual documentation required. Coordinate meetings with project stakeholders. Maintain and issue progress reports for all projects. Maintain focus on time, cost and quality
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental risks are controlled and minimised.  Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, Planning and Building Regulations – and related requirements
  • Energy efficiency cost saving activities
  • Upgrading facilities infrastructure to improve site resilience using most cost effective, energy efficient means
  • Assist with Facilities compliance and statutory reporting

Qualifications

  • HND Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering  

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Technical knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering systems for cleanrooms
  • Experience in the HVAC engineering industry – (with mechanical equipment such as pumps, boilers, chillers, HVAC units and compressors)
  • Experience with software programs such as AutoCAD and MS Office
  • Solid understanding of cleanroom technology, M&E building services and new techniques
  • Experience in Facilities systems in a high technology/cleanroom production environment
  • Strong background in management of external contractors and compliance
  • Strong project planning, coordination and integration skills with the ability to deliver on time and within budget, handling multiple projects at any given time
  • Good Knowledge of H&S compliance / risk assessment
  • Good understanding of electrical systems, and safe systems of work
