Role Description:

Our Client is one of the leading providers of care homes offering residential, nursing and dementia care to Freemasons, their families and the wider communities. They employ over 1,500 members of staff at 19 locations across England and Wales.
As Facilities Assistant, you will assist the Facilities Manager with health and safety checks, technical faults and repairs, updating mandatory files. You will also be attending to the ongoing interior and external maintenance of the Home including providing operational support for the Home as directed by the Facilities Manager. Some of your responsibilities will include -

  • Check water temperatures of each tap outlets within the Home every month
  • Monitoring of water temperatures to meet regulatory requirements
  • PAT testing undertaken as required
  • Fire doors are functioning
  • Record property related change
  • Report areas of damage to Facilities Manager
  • Emergency lights and standard lights are checked and functioning

Person Specification:

  • Secondary Education
  • Full Driving licence
  • A Plumbing qualification
  • General experience of maintenance and repairs
  • Flexibility
  • Able to take direction
  • Logical thinking and a problem solver
  • Empathy towwards elderly patients
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work to a high standard
  • Able to participate in Checks such as DBS
